Slowlyst — Legal

privacy policy

Last updated: 17 July 2026

Short version: Slowlyst has no accounts, no ads, and no tracking. Everything you save stays on your device (and in your own iCloud, if you enable it). We don't collect, sell, or share your personal data — full stop.

01 Who we are

Slowlyst is an app made by Slow Projects Studio, an independent studio run by Salim Atmani. If you have any question about this policy or your privacy, you can reach us at hello@slowprojects.studio.

02 Data we collect

None. Slowlyst does not collect any personal data. We have no servers that receive your information, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers.

The content you create in the app — the items you save, your categories, notes, photos and barcodes — is stored locally on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, that content is stored in your own private iCloud account, which we cannot access.

03 Tips & purchases

Slowlyst offers optional tips (in-app purchases) if you'd like to support the app. These purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your name, card number, or any payment details. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

04 System permissions

To do their job, some features may ask your permission to use:

  • the camera, so you can take a photo or scan a barcode of something you want to save;
  • your photo library, if you choose to add an image you already have.

These are used only when you actively trigger them, and the results are saved to your own library within the app. Nothing is uploaded to us.

05 Children

Slowlyst is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

06 Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, we'll update this page and revise the date above. Because Slowlyst doesn't collect data, we don't expect major changes — but if we ever add a feature that does, we'll explain it here clearly and ask for your consent where required.
